One piece: does Oden really stand a chance against Kaido?

Lately I've been wanting to make an post on one piece. This just gave me exactly what I needed.

Today I'm going to be comparing the situations between these two characters, in which case one might end up beings stronger than the other. The perfectly moulded storyline of one piece can only lead us to draw certain conclusions.

   First off, we know that Oden's fight against Kaido ended up with him loosing, but let's not also forget the fact that Oden lost due to what seemed like a threat to his child, momonosuke. This was a trick by a witch called Kurozumi Higurashi. 

 Kurozumi higurashi had the clone clone fruit but apart from that she could foresee, after all she is a witch. And her fore sight were not usually wrong. During the battle between Kaido and Oden, she interfered by convincing or tricking Oden Into believing that they had captured his son.

    Now is there a reason to help someone who was already going to win?, No. This is either because the witch new through her foresight that Kaido would loose or there is a good chance that oden would defeat him. 

    As we saw in the previous one piece chapters, Oden fought with white-beard on equal ground but couldn't fight against gold roger. This means that oden is strong and as such white-beard held back against him. But there's no removing the fact that Gold roger acknowledged Oden as being strong. 

So oden should be a little below the power level as white-beard and Roger. 

Oden and Kaido also fought on equal ground, this is more evident due to the scars that oden landed on Kaido. At the time Idem would have won due to the fact that he was pissed off, and he had already injured Kaido. Without the help of the witch Oren would have defeated Kaido.
